About the School
Argo Community High School is a public high school located in Summit, Illinois, serving grades 9 through 12. Established in 1922, it is the only high school in District 217. The school aims to provide an equitable and comprehensive educational experience, inspiring students to become lifelong learners and critical thinkers. It has received Bronze Medals from U.S. News & World Report for outstanding academic performance in 2014 and 2016. The school offers over 200 courses, including Advanced Placement (AP) and honors classes, as well as special education and bilingual programs. It provides strong student support services and a variety of extracurricular activities, including academic clubs, arts groups, and competitive athletics under the name "Fighting Argonauts." Argo Community High School serves students from several local communities, including Summit, Bedford Park, Bridgeview, Justice, Willow Springs, and parts of Hickory Hills.
