Black Hills Special Services Cooperative (BHSSC) is an education and human services cooperative based in South Dakota. It focuses on providing innovative and comprehensive services in education, training, and employment. Governed by elected school board members from 12 school districts, BHSSC serves Pre-K??2 students and various community members across the state. The cooperative offers a range of services, including support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, benefits planning for those receiving SSI or SSDI, and family support coordination. BHSSC also provides education and workforce development programs, such as adult education, literacy, and job training. Additionally, it offers Compass services for schools, which include personalized learning and professional development for educators.
