City Charter High School is a technology-infused public charter school located in Pittsburgh, PA. Founded in 2002 by Dr. Richard Wertheimer and Mario Zinga, the school aims to prepare students academically, technologically, personally, and socially for success in post-secondary education, training, or employment. It serves students from various neighborhoods in Pittsburgh and surrounding districts. The school operates on a unique 4-day school week with a year-round trimester schedule, focusing on personalized learning and real-world internships. City Charter High School is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Secondary Schools and offers standard educational services, including parent-teacher conferences held twice a year. The leadership team includes Principal and CEO Dr. Dara Ware Allen, along with a Chief Academic Officer and four Assistant Principals overseeing different class years.
