About the School
DREAM is a non-profit organization based in East Harlem, New York, focused on empowering youth through education, sports, and holistic development programs. Founded in 1991, it has grown from a volunteer-run little league into a comprehensive network serving over 2,500 youth annually, from pre-K through postsecondary support. DREAM offers a range of services, including academic support through charter schools, enrichment activities in arts and leadership, health and wellness programs, and community sports initiatives. Its charter schools provide free education for students from pre-K to 12th grade, while sports programs promote teamwork and resilience. The organization is dedicated to serving historically underserved communities, particularly in East Harlem and the South Bronx, and aims to help all children recognize their potential and achieve their dreams.
