E.L. Haynes Public Charter School is a distinguished Pre-K through 12th grade educational institution located in Washington, DC. Founded in 2004 by Jennifer C. Niles, the school honors Dr. Euphemia Lofton Haynes, the first African-American woman to earn a doctorate in mathematics. It has grown from serving 139 students to nearly 1,200 across two campuses in Petworth and Columbia Heights.
