About the School
Northbrook School District 27 serves more than 1,300 children in grades PK-8. Our schools include Hickory Point (PK-2), Shabonee (3-5), and Wood Oaks Junior High (6-8). We have a longstanding tradition of excellence in education. Our key success factors include outstanding student performance, rigorous and coherent programs and services, highly qualified staff, social-emotional well-being, a safe learning and working environment, and a healthy financial position. Our Vision: Our preK-8 learners will understand and take pride in their own intersecting identities, value the diversity of others, thrive in our interconnected world, advocate for themselves and others, and ultimately understand their capacity to positively impact their school, communities, and the world at large.
