The Maine School of Science and Mathematics (MSSM) is a public residential magnet high school located in Limestone, Maine, serving students in grades 9??2, with a summer program for grades 5??. Established in 1995, it is the only magnet school in Maine and one of the few science and technology magnet schools in the country, specifically situated in a rural area. MSSM has a capacity for 156 students and an enrollment of 129 as of 2022, welcoming students from across Maine, other states, and internationally. MSSM offers a rigorous STEM curriculum that exceeds state standards, focusing on the integration of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics with the humanities.
