About the School
The Milwaukee Academy of Science (MAS) is a public charter school in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, established in 2000. It serves students from K4 through 12th grade, focusing on preparing urban students for success in post-secondary education through a strong emphasis on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). The school operates two campuses and has an enrollment of approximately 1,900 to 2,000 students. MAS offers a challenging curriculum that includes Advanced Placement (AP) courses and a variety of electives. The school is tuition-free and provides wrap-around services, including city-wide transportation and partnerships with local organizations to support students and their families. With a commitment to college readiness, MAS has achieved a 100% college acceptance rate for its seniors in recent years. The school aims to serve urban, minority students, particularly those underrepresented in health sciences, and is dedicated to closing educational gaps in achievement.
