About the School
Success Academy Charter Schools is the largest and highest-performing free public charter school network in New York City, serving over 22,000 students across 59 schools in the Bronx, Harlem, Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. Founded in 2006 by Eva Moskowitz, the organization aims to provide world-class K-12 education and advocate for policy changes that enhance access to quality education. The schools focus on academic excellence and resilience, offering a curriculum that includes core subjects like math and reading, along with special programs in chess, debate, athletics, and the arts. Success Academy provides support services such as free lunch and snacks, and actively assists students with special needs and English language learners. The network is committed to serving diverse communities, with a significant percentage of students coming from low-income households and backgrounds.
